Back on Kame House, the training regiment of Callion remained, as always, in full swing. Master and Student complimenting each other’s fighting form, with the Saiyan having fully adapted to the now Turtle Style fighting pose, Roshi smiling as the fight Infront of him – in a flash of memory – took on the form of Goku in his eyes. Indeed, the resemblance was the moment that truly made the old master nearly chocked up as though he was seeing an old friend from so long ago, though he nearly lost focused when Callion proceeded to advance in the opportune moment in taking Roshi by surprise. “Hey! Who told you in attacking your master by surprise like that!? You cheeky son of a gun!” Master Roshi scolded in a light-hearted manner, trading blow for blow when the two fighters picked up the peace in strength as well as speed. “Come on Master, even you need to realise to keep your head in the game! Otherwise, how else am I supposed to get stronger?” Callion joked, increasing the momentum of his speed, but he could feel as though Roshi was not only able to adapt in his own right, but also turn the tables around and force the Saiyan back with a double fist to the chest causing the Saiyan Monk to be pushed back by several feet.
“Got to hand it to you Callion, you are definitely getting stronger at quite the impressive pace. I’m having to keep myself relatively focused whenever I am training you, my boy. But, as always, you require more lessons and that today is going to be less on the offensive capabilities and more on the defensive arts.” Master Roshi commented, dusting himself off from the initial training phase when having sparred with the Saiyan, to which Callion thought for a moment before slowly nodding in agreement. “Mmm… The best Offensive is a good Defence, that’s is the Earthling saying if I am right in this regard? If I can ask Master Roshi, what exactly should I work on for my defensive capabilities?” Callion asked, folding his arms and closed his eyes, his mind trying to figure out what exactly should he commit to the defensive skills when fighting against stronger opponents who would try every form of opportunity to cause as much significant damage as possible against the Saiyan, and while he may very well respond back in kind, the strength of one’s character was not always the wisest approach when dealing with such matters, and the old Turtle Hermit was certainly happy that at least this Saiyan was taking such matters very seriously.
The Master smiled, taking a moment to walk over towards the sea abit more before looking up towards the cloudy sky. “You see Callion, back in my day when Goku and Vegeta were still around, those boys were like the most durable tanks you could possibly imagine. You could throw the hardest known punch in the universe at their way, and they could take it like it was nothing. They were immovable objects that could continue dishing out hits, whilst at the same time endure the pain and tolerance of those who try to take them down.” The old Turtle Hermit explained, his mind going back to the harrowing days of the Tournament of Power, witnessing the Saiyan Warriors powering up to their Super Saiyan Blue forms and duking it out with some of the most powerful warriors throughout the cosmos, able to take on such several number of punishments from any and all kinds of various attacks that their opponents threw at them and yet still they kept on going despite the odds that stacked against the two. “Yes sir, those boys were the pinnacle of Saiyan forms, their power overflowing with their might whilst realising that their defence was a key and decisive factor throughout their role, which is why if you ever hope to get far in this life, you will need to acquire the knowledge and foresight to develop such a defence for yourself.”
Callion listened and thought to himself intently for a moment. It was true that he indeed was an aspiring Saiyan individual who was getting stronger with each passing day, and his strength and supporting skills were developing rather well, but if he were to truly deny his defensive skills and qualities, then he’d be no better than a beginner of martial arts. If what Master Roshi said was true, and it was certainly the case, then the idea of improving one’s endurance and capability to withstand attacks that far exceeded the normal limits to what an ordinary fighter could withstand was the ideal way to get started. Yet, the question that now dawned on his mind was just how exactly can he learn such a fighting technique and in the right way which offered more bonuses and reward to using such a skill. Roshi saw that Callion was in a deep thought, smirking that the Saiyan used the moment to collect his thoughts for the moment before The Turtle Hermit walked up to Callion. “Listen well, my boy. I got the perfect training for you should you ever decide to learn such a useful skill to heart. You ever been to Break wasteland?” Master Roshi asked, with the Saiyan Monk giving back an answer with several nods with his head. The old Turtle Hermit continued thusly; “At this time of the year, the dinosaurs will be at a hunger frenzy and will attack anything big or small to eat as food. Your training throughout the entire day is to survive the wasteland for that whole day and come back here to see whether or not you have managed to unlock the potential to become that unmoveable object.”
Such a training program for Callion to hear and go along with was crazy and insane, hungry frenzied dinosaurs will be restless until they managed to get something in their bellies to eat. Was this truly the smart and best idea to go along with? Then again, considering the vast amount of years’ worth of knowledge and wisdom the old turtle hermit had possessed through his life, it’d be rather counter-productive to start losing faith in him now. “Sounds like a plan Master. Will there be rules to this training? I’ll assume that no ki based attacks will be allowed?” The Saiyan asked, wanting to know more of the extend of this exercise course. Master Roshi thought for a moment along with how to make sure that Callion had effectively unlocked such a technique to be used when the need arrived in actual combat. Recognising that he was strong, he decided to see how he’d fair in a pure defensive combat, “Well. Seeing your progression, had made me realising that you require more discipline in the art of defence, your training at Break wasteland will require you to spend a whole 24 hours at the location and you are to not engage with the wild animals and dinosaurs. However, they are allowed to fight you. You are only to defend yourself, and you can only engage when they try to eat or kill you.” The Teacher answered, informing his student of the rather limited rules planted onto this specific learning course.
Callion’s face was rather surprised to hear such a heavy set of rules this time for this particular training, having never expected to be pushed this far – let the alone having to possibly survive that long without any form of support. Sure, he was more than capable enough to handle dinosaurs, but to only defend himself and to ONLY engage if they were going to either kill or eat him? It was quite the heavy set of commands, and yet, this idea thrilled the Saiyan in a way. What better form of training to ensure that such dinosaurs were giving it their all in order to catch their food than to one who was more than capable of putting up a fight, making the monsters literally work to eat one that was more than capable of defending himself. The Saiyan smirked with a wicked gleam, “Hmmm… twenty-four hours only? Alright, I can give this a try. I’ll head over there now and get started Master Roshi. I’ll see you tomorrow!” With that, Callion powered up with his traditional blue aura that surrounded the Saiyan and took off into the skies like a rocket, waving goodbye at his Master who did the same in return, with Saiyan target was the dinosaur filled landscape, ready to take on the training that was bestowed upon him by Roshi.
Upon arriving at Break Wasteland, Callion saw that what Master Roshi had stated about the seasonal event where dinosaurs; be it herbivores or carnivores were out in force. Monsterous beasts of all shapes and sizes roamed the land, fighting one another for the scraps of meat or to defend oneself and their hatchlings. It was a prehistoric battlefield in this time, and Callion was about to get right into the thick of the action! As the Saiyan Monk landed, he had a look at the sun, noticing its position in the sky, realising that this was going to be a long day of training, and soon enough, not before he even had an opportunity to get ready, Callion was under attack by what appeared to be a Megaraptor! The beast lunged from the densely thick shade from the forest section of the Wasteland, causing the Saiyan to duck for cover, barely missing the sheer claws that the dinosaur was packing, slowly getting up onto his feet and began to analyse the dinosaur before him with an intense look upon his face, wanting to make sure he knew exactly what he was dealing with as well as prepared to handle the oncoming damage he was about to take.
The Megaraptor, a member of the theropod family from the order Maniraptora, that hailed from the Late Cretaceous Period of the Planet’s history one-hundred and ten years ago. Callion, whilst currently uneducated in the world of Dinosaurs was about to find out that the Megaratpro which means ‘Huge Robber’ was a fast-moving bipedal carnivore, just like its famous cousin the Velociraptor. However, the Megaraptor as its name suggests was much larger! Before the Saiyan’s very eyes, he saw that the dinosaur before him was about eight meters long and four meters tall, and judging by the density and muscle structure of this monster that it weighed about nine-hundred to one-thousand eight hundred kilograms. This lightning-quick, bird-like dinosaur had a thirty-five-centimetre claw on each of its hind legs, the very same that almost managed to pierce the Saiyan’s skin. Those claws alone were an obvious factor that it could tear into the thickest hide, those claws combined with its flexible neck and powerful jaws made the Megaraptor a virtual killing machine to be feared. The sounds and noise from the other dinosaurs fighting and killing each other across Break Wasteland, Saiyan and Dinosaur starred at one another before the monstrously tall raptor began to attack, swiping at Callion with a ferocious display of power. The combination of claws from its hands and legs would’ve been powerful enough to tear the flesh and bone of any Earthling. For a Saiyan? Simple claw and scratch marks, one in which he had to endure whilst on the heavy defence in being pushed back, and only being send flying towards the stone wall when the Megaraptor slapped him with a tailed whip like move, gasping for air from such a strong hit from the dinosaur and then being sent through the boulder by the mentioned beast, taking in further damage as the large raptor charged through with more attacks in the hopes to rend and slash the Saiyan into pieces for it to devour.
Claws, jaws, and even hooks were being sent completely in the Saiyan’s direction, and each time he took the hits dead on, feeling the pressure and onslaught from the rampage, seeing no true end at sight, he had to intervene. Using both hands to defend himself, the Saiyan clenched them into a fist and send them hurling towards the Megaraptor in a double first attack, the beasts sent hurling down to the ground, being dragged away from the initial shockwave of the blast, roaring in pain and being surprisingly hit by such a strong move. This only caused the beast to enter a state of frenzy, its animalistic brain finding it hard to believe that its prey was still standing and not being killed by its claws or having the bones crunched under the power of its jaws. The large raptor roared in a terrifying manner, entering in a state of enragement as it charged again and began a more vicious cycle of attacks, one that Callion had to once again defend himself from the onslaught, and it was certainly doing a number on his gi at slowly being ripped apart from the dinosaur, and Callion had to nothing but to hold out and defend himself from the attacks with more than just his arms and legs, but the whole body being thrown at the Megaraptor in defiance.
The fighting continued to drag on into the future hours of the evening and since that point in time more dinosaurs and animals began to enter this part of the wasteland whilst the seasonal event for these animals was in full swing. The bodies of herbivores and carnivores slowly piled, the weak being eliminated from the strong – as was the natural order of things from the species that still miraculously survived into the modern era – and both Saiyan and the Megaraptor were still duking it out into the evening, as the sun was just about to set in replacement of the moon. Needless to say, for Callion, he was badly beaten up that much was certain, but he was still standing strong against all form of damage having been done to his body. For the Raptor, it was having just about enough of this madness, already showing the behavioural tone of being sick and tired of being denied a kill to eat and began its final charge against the Saiyan, only for the creature to be cut down to size with the Megaraptor being clubbed by a creature’s tail, breaking its jaw and neck and fallen to the floor dead in its tracks.
The sudden attack left Callion surprised, looking over to his right to see the arrival of a new creature that managed to kill the carnivore and saw it was an enraged Herbivore, still having endured and survived the seasonal event of being attacked by others monstrous dinosaurs and other nightmares that currently lurked across the Wasteland. The dinosaur that stood before the Saiyan was known as the Ankylosaurus. For those of the uninitiated of this kind of Dinosaur across the world, the Ankylosaurus was the last of Ankylosauris family from the order Ankylosauria, which was also the largest member of the mentioned group, and having known to have been formed during the Late Cretaceous period of Earth’s History about eighty-eight to ninety-three million years ago. The Ankylosarus was what was called the ‘Fused Lizard’ was a heavily armoured plant eating dinosaur that measured about seven to ten meters long, two meters wide, and a little over one meter tall. Callion’s eyes judged that frenzied dinosaur that it weighed in at about four-thousand five hundred kilograms, which he also noticed that the entire top of its head was protected from carnivores by thick oval plates embedded or fused in its leathery skin and judging how it managed to crush the megaraptor with ease, the monster dinosaur even had a bony plates as protection for its eyes and that only its underbelly unprotected.
The Saiyan gritted his teeth, he realised that such a dinosaur, while supposed to be harmless, he could see the angered state from the seasonal event. The Saiyans eyes even caught noticed that the Ankylosaurus had additional protection that came in the form of two rows of spikes stretched along its body with large horns projecting from the back of its head and a dangerous club like tail. With its bellowing roar, now the Saiyan had to deal with this new enemy, but he could feel his body being a lot more different now… As if it was able to fully adapt to the damages now from the hours spent from the combat with the Megaraptor, now he was being underway with the Ankylosaurus’s attacks with its hammer like tail, smacking Callion to the ground repeatedly, even getting so far as the try to pierce the Saiyan with its pikes in rolling across the floor, which was rather bold of the beast considering everything else that roamed the lands at this time. Yet, the Saiyan was able to endure and press on, even when having been pinned and slammed to the floor with the beasts power, it wasn’t enough to keep the Saiyan down by any stretch of the imagination.
As the morning rose following the now official twenty-four hour training having arrived, it was safe to say, that under the set of vigorously training in a pure defensive style that he finally managed to crack the code in unlocking the secrets of using the Immovable Object technique. This came into the aspect of not being pushed around by the Ankylosaurus’s attacks, and actually having managed to stay still and endure those attacks despite the overwhelming power and force the blows landed, and the fact that such a beast was in fact a plant eater and wasn’t trying to devour the Saiyan but kill it as the dinosaur assumed that Callion was a threat, it made the training a lot easier to understand and control in a sense. One the Saiyan looked up at the now morning sun and ocean blow skies, he saw it was time to leave and allow the dinosaurs from all walks of life in the land to go about their own form of seasonal and primal instincts, preparing to return back to Kame House and to demonstrate the lengths of his training, one in which the Master was to be proud.
Speaking of Master Roshi, he spent the entire day speaking to the one who was called King Kai on his planet in Overworld. “So King Kai, have you been keeping an eye on the new fighters on this planet so far?” Master Roshi asked King Kai, to which he received the answer in the telepathic communication. “Of course, I have. Looks like the Planet has certainly changed over the years since Goku was on that world. There are still quite the number of villains and negative energy I am sensing on that planet though, but it should be able to be contained with the heroes I am seeing from here. I also couldn’t help but noticed you took on two new students: Saiyans I might add. Their names were Callion and Kombu right? Well, I’m rather surprised that you’re still taking up students. It’s been quite a long time since then, and the fact that you’re still going to teach them the Kamehameha is rather remarkable.”
The Master smiled and gave a nod, knowing exactly what he was doing. He was committed to the idea of teaching Callion and Kombu the Kamehameha, and now with the Saiyan Monk having finally mastered the art of being the Immoveable Object…
Perhaps it was time to possible have both his students meet one another to train together.
